Proper shoe width
I just received my Yonex 304S. Great 2 day shipping. Thanks!
I chose these based on many reviews I've read on TT. I measured my foot using your Learning Center and it came out to an E width. I followed your advice and bought a size smaller and the length of the shoe is great. I tried on the shoes and they definitely aren't snug, and I can feel very slight movement of my foot inside the shoe if I do a little "stop/start" on the living room floor. When I lace up the shoe tightly, the sides of the shoe "squinch" (for lack of better word) very slightly. So my questions are... Will this shoe stretch even more? Is this shoe too wide for me? |
The shoe will open up slightly after break-in. This happens in all shoes but is more noticeable in some.
If you feel like your feet are going to be sliding around excessively in them, then they are too wide. You can try using a thicker sock (like a Thorlo Level 3) or going with 2 pairs of regular socks. I have narrow feet so double bag with 2 pairs most of the time. Wearing 2 pairs of socks is also a great form of blister protection as the outer sock can move around on the inner sock and not rub the skin at all. Hope this helps. Chris, TW. |

I like your double sock approach. I'll try that and see how it goes. With two socks, I'm sure my feet won't be sliding around. Thanks again. And thanks for the great 2 day shipping. My first TW purchase and I'm quite sure I'll be coming again! |
