What string and tension does Evgeny Korolev use?
Title says it all. I loved it when he destroyed feds second serve by returning hella hard in the AO this year... but yah, wandering his set up.
Our frames have a lot in common. We both use the o3/ozone tour, both have tournagrip and we both use rubber bands. i started using my setup before i knew korolev had it lol... but his strings are definately poly and yellowish. the possibilities are Luxilon Big Banger Original Kirschbaum pē Kirschbaum Touch Turbo Kirschbaum Competiiton Polyfibre poly hightec Luxilon Monotec superpoly heres a pic of him using his racket http://www2.tennisserver.com/images/...v/IMG_4832.JPG |
From what I remember when I talked to him offcourt and took a look at his gear was that His strings are definatelly Kirschbaum but dont know which ones since I didnt ask but its not Luxilon BBO for sure
|
and the racquet his playing with is not the tour, or anything else that is on TW
|
its the o3 tour. there is only2 rackets that have really thin beam, o ports, not the rectangle ports and those two rackets are ozone tour or o3 tour. and i think its o3 our and its 16x18
|
look at the picture you posted he has two white circles on top and the inside of the frame is all orange, but the once that are on TW and tour and etc, is white.
If you look at the TW you will know what I mean |
ok i think its either kirschbaum touch turbo or Kirschbaum Pē, maybe kirschbaum competition
|
i know, it is the older version of the one tw has. tw has ozone tour... that is the 03 tour.
|
I strung for him before Miami. He uses an O3 Tour 16x20 with BB Original Rough at 26 kg.
|
Thanks, and he uses a rubber band and tournagrip right? thats what it seems like to me.,..
so i googled 26kg and it translates to 57.3 lbs |
also, did he have any lead tape or any modifications?

was it a lot of lead or do you know how much...?
sorry, but just comparing his set up to mine lol |
Use what you like, not what he likes.
|
