The "Seinfeld" Club
Hope there is one already out there.
OK, let's talk about the best show ever. favorite character: favorite episode: what is it about the show that you loved? I have to say George made the show (Kramer was a close second). While Kramer was an oddball and the things he said and did made him hilarious, it was George's inner demons that made that show. Does anyone know someone like George..my answer would be yes. There are lot's of GC running around and the show tapped into the inner workings of a pained human being (I guess the real life Larry David). My favorite eposide (tough to call) may be "the opposite" where George does and says the opposite of what he would nromally do. Here is a clip..enjoy! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IjXUgxR4Z10 |
George: I have relationship George, but I also have independent George. That's the George you know, the George you grew up with: movie George, coffee shop George, liar George, bawdy George.
Jerry: I love that George. George: Me too, and he's dying, Jerry! If relationship George walks through that door, he will kill independent George. A George divided against itself cannot stand! |
i love seinfeld and talking about it. i have all the seasons on dvd, minus season 1/2 which i don't care for much. i have seen every episode multiple times. and this is all not having gotten into it until a couple years ago. i think the middle seasons were the best 4-7 or so. it's currently the GOAT of sitcoms
the opposite is a good one..especially when he tells his parents how much he will miss him and jerry says to kramer "opposite" lol i agree george makes the show...his neurotic mannerisms are hilarious. jerry said in the commentaries how they didn't want to center the show around him i still have to say "the contest" is the greatest episode. never once said the word 'masterbation' but you knew what they were talking about the whole time. honorable mention: 'shrinkage' episode big salad laser pointer rye bread from shnitzers kramer smoking george stop having sex (leading to his ingenuity) the big race marine biologist "JFK" episode bootlegger episode roommate switch deaf tennis ballgirl fusilli jerry almost all episodes featuring NEWMAN are awesome |
Best show of all time - though Curb is getting there.
For me Jerry was the best character simply because he has my sense of humour, George made for the best situations however. Newman in his appearances definitely stole the episodes he was in though, the most diabolical character of all time and I know someone like Newman as well which makes it even funnier. As for best episode there are too many good ones to choose from! "The Pez Dispenser", "The Letter", "The Library", "The Junior Mint", and "The Keys" stand out most for me. Short clips.. "The Pez" beginning that starts the madness . http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZLnl8pQ4_HU Maybe the best scene of all time in "the library" http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_zePQavforA One of Newman's best moments. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8MOau...ature=related# The "Keith Hernandez story" http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Gcaq4ElAJrE |
Enjoy the show! Will subscribe to this thread.
Jerry: You kept stopping? Kramer: Well, people kept ringing the bell! Only the die hards can quote a two liner in seinfeld and laugh .. even a one liner. Jerry: I choose not to run! Jerry: Mulva? Kramer: Hoochimama! George: The jerk store called ahh.. I'm laughing now.. |
but i gotta admit jerry wasn't the greatest actor. he would crack a smile so many times...kinda like jimmy fallon.
another great newman moment......i absolutely would not be able to hold my composure when he gave his lines. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3zG_PN31YJU |

with Newman there is also David Putty as a great character..."yea that's right"
the alternate personas that the characters create are hilarious too....george with his 'vandelay' and kramer would impersonate doctors and other figures. |

"I'm not gay...Not that there's anything wrong with it."
"SERENITY NOW!!" "A Festivus for the rest of us." "George is getting upset!" |
"Seinfeld" is one of my all-time favorites, with Jerry being my favorite character. I know both a "Kramer" and a "George" - grew up with them. I've got a tall, goofy buddy who was just like Kramer, and his cousin who couldn't tell the truth, and was always scheming/coniving, just like George.

"George likes his kungpow spicy!" The best george lines started with "the sea was angry my friend...." |
As a tennis player.. I am partial to the Milos episode.. .
"Look at the baby! ...." |
"Look at the cookie Elaine, look at the cookie....."

A Seinfeld club on TW? -Hallelujah!
I have to say I'm quite new to Seinfeld, having missed most of it to Friends (another great show). But I'm starting to catch up, and I love it so far. Would you guys say the last seasons were not as good as the earlier ones? |

1) Name all the jobs George had?? 2) Name all the 'jobs' Kramer had?? |
"I choose not to run"!
"I don't have a square to spare. I can't spare a square"! "Gotta support the team". "Big Stein can't be flopping and twitching"! Kramer: "Sounds like they're trying to screw with your head". Jerry: "Why would a junior high school want to screw with my head"? Kramer: Well, why does Radio Shack ask for your phone number when you buy batteries? I don't know". |
