Prince rackets

Are there any Prince rackets out now made for a tournament player? something that is similar to a K-Blade tour.. or something the top 5 ATP would be comfortable using?

But how many racquets in the EXO3 line are Mids?

BTW, I don't consider anything over 90 sq. in. to be a Mid.

Even when the racquet company calls it a mid?

Not really...if you work on them enough, you'll know the tricks...

DunlopDood 07-31-2009 11:03 AM

Prince used to make great sticks, until one of the geniuses over there decided to put giant holes in the side of their frames.

The_Question 07-31-2009 12:17 PM

Marketing, just like Dunlop market Aerogel, which how much was used in a racquet...probably not much at all consider the cost of Aerogel...

JonnyJolly11 07-31-2009 01:09 PM

the rebels pretty similar actually.

Zach_Attack 07-31-2009 08:46 PM

o3 speedports and exo3s are junk! stick with a classic like the pog 93 or diablo mid! :)

Rubbish!!! the new graphite 93 and 100 are excellent rackets and the rebel is similar to the older frames and has a unique feel, one of the best rackets around.

SoCal10s 08-01-2009 12:50 AM

yeah but why does it need to have big holes? the 93 has a nice feel and it could be a players racket but those big holes are like wearing clown shoes to play a tennis match.. the 93 has 16X18 which makes it better than the old 14x16 graphite 93 but stringing that BS stuff ain't no fun... there's even a hole going thru the throat of the frame ... the rebel 95 feels too trampoline like unless you really lead that thing up..

If Prince fills in those stupid holes maybe serious tennis players will take their rackets a bit more seriously ...

I find it interesting that so many people on this board dismiss the ports as junk. Most guys can't outhit a professional woman in the top 100, many of them use this junk. Their is a pair of rather large and fairly good doubles players who manage to remain around the top of the doubles ranking using the Black Speedport.
If you have enough hitting time in your game, you might not want to change. For those of you with less than 10,000 hour< read the book Outliers for my choice of that number, it might be too hard to go to something that increases swing speed.

Also, Prince has a significant amount of juniors using the Exo3 frames...I love it...the way the racquet feels is amazing.

I can't really play at the level previously because of my shoulder, but this is an amazing frame...
