Federer's U.S. Open Shoe?

I saw this link in Jon Werthiem's Mailbag column on the sport illustrated website. I don't if it is fake or not but it gave me a laugh. :)

Here's the picture itself.

There pretty cool, I don't think he would wear them for U.S Open as they are same design as Wimbledon. It would be funny though if he still had the littles babies on the side though

Doesn't have the RF at the back so I doubt it's his personal shoe either

TMCW140 07-30-2009 05:11 AM

They're not his, but still, good find!

robbie_mx 07-30-2009 08:37 AM

Great detail to federer twins.. LOL

Good catch.

BreakPoint 07-30-2009 01:12 PM

That's hilarious!!!

The US Open shoes are red black anyway. Thats actually a question i have, why was only one shoe release so far, have the RF logo, which is my shoe of choice.

TennisNinja 07-30-2009 06:10 PM

The babies on the shoe are funny. They look pretty good, but they're just not my style.

TheSubdude 07-30-2009 08:15 PM

Is that a shoe or an advertisement for Nike's tech? Geez. Zoom, Fit Frame, Lunarlite, Flywire, Swoosh, Babies and Nike. The design department needs to step away from the coffee and rethink a few things.

icedevil0289 07-30-2009 09:51 PM

I'm 99% sure that it's photoshopped. I read that on atleast.

Fee 07-30-2009 09:52 PM

Either there is a lot more dry wit on this forum than I previously thought, or only 3 people in this thread got it. It's a joke created by a Fed fan, it's not from Nike.

RoddickFan 07-31-2009 05:08 PM

HAHA i think i laughed more at these idiotic comments than the shoe. LOL AHAHAHA Fee is totally right.

Al Czervik 07-31-2009 06:09 PM

I would have believed it if they had been black/red because cotton candies were pretty much a bizarre internet rumor and somehow they came to fruition. Nike should totally do this.
