Divide by 2, add 7? Does this work in society?
 

I heard that this method is used for a persons age range that a man should have a relationship with a woman?

For example a man is 40

40/2=20
20+7=27

Anybody woman 27+ is OK for the man to have a relationship with

I was wondering whether this method should be used in society when a person should be treated like a child or an adult depending on their age:

For example a teacher is 30
30/2=15
15+7=22

Therefore anybody who is below the age of 22 should be treated as a "child"
This means that even 16 year olds who try to act much older than they are should be treated as a child and vice versa.

Does anybody agree with this?

It is my understanding that this formula was proposed by Elijah Mohammad as the correct age range for Black Muslims to choose a bride. It actually is kind of an interesting one, if you do the math...

Does the formula work in society? Sure, why not? Does it have to be adhered to/is it adhered to? Not in America. All the forumula is intended to do is to try and balance mental maturity with physical ability to have children so that both people are best served in a relationship.
