Maria Sharapova racket and strings(as of July 2010)?
 

Hi there fellas
I saw the match between MS and Dementieva yesterday,which I really enjoyed,great hitting from them,maybe the best I've seen from the 2.
I paid attention to Sharapova's racket and strings and it seems that her new racket is very thin.
I am going to shoot the beam width on the head to be around 18mm and She was using a black main string with probably her M2 crosses with a head size around 95-98 I am guessing and a very dense string pattern,either because of the size of the racket or because more strings than just 18x20.
So I am curious and I know some of You will answer my questions easily.

What makes you and everybody else think that every black string the Pro's use is RPM?
Prince may have developed a new Black string or Luxilon.
I think there is one stringer from the board doing that tournament.
So We'll wait for the answer.

It definitely a HEAD racquet and 16x19. It is in my opinion the YT Radical Pro. Also it has been reported before that it is RPM Blast and Natural Gut.

The strings are actually Sampras' chest hair hybrided with Sharapova's locks.

So that's why the last opponent who failed to win a game against her complained of being locks & bageled!

This has been documented. She is definitely still with Prince, but with permission to experiment far and wide, probably because of the shoulder problem.

Most people think it's a rad pro given its appearance and as it's also a very soft stick and around her usual swingweight this would make sense.

I don't know if this helps but I got one of her old speedport frames for christmas and it had prince natural gut or natura; it's kind of hard to read because it was used. and it also had luxilon MR2 Pro in 17 g. Actually both were 17g.

If her contract with Prince is water tight, and she wants to still endorse the brand they will make a version of that racket for her. They could just release it as a Sharapova signature stick and she would end up making more money from the royalties. Or head might take the step to sign her and pay the $$$ for it, would be worth it, they would dominate if they had her officially.
