Raonic def. Verdasco 7/6 7/6

Never In doubt, this kid is good.

He already has a win over both Nadal and Djokovic, and now Nando.

This kid is going somewhere.

UMMM can you explain to me when he bit Nadal and Djokovic??? Oh you mean in doubles... that really counts....

Raonic is gonna be great. I think he can compete against Nadal by just smoking that weak moonball, since it would bounce to his waist. But, Djoker right now would kill him.

He pushed Rafa to 6-4,6-4 in Tokyo...must have some game to do that!

seffina 02-13-2011 06:31 PM

So what's the over and under on commentators mentioning Nadal's claim about how Raonic will be in the top ten soon at the Memphis tourny?

SoBad 02-13-2011 06:33 PM

Berankis was the only real threat to Raonic, so once he won that match I knew he had the title bagged up. Congratulations to Milos, good luck in Memphis.

They have to hype somebody to keep the sport interesting.

Very, btw are u TopSpinDoctor?

I called it before the final even started and still maintain the hype is ludicrous. The guy even had a walkover over Monfils in the semis, so it's not as there wasn't a bit of luck involved in the title win.

But yeah, A win over a solid top ten player is always great.

Luck is still a mitigating factor in tennis. You can't tell me every net cord ever hit wasn't luck? Some of the biggest points involved net cord shots that would've gone either way.

I would have really liked to see how Monfils fared against him, but I think he would have won that match anyway.

God, Djokovic sucks at doubles.

He didn't beat Rafa (or Nole) by himself. He had this thing called, I believe, a partner.

They played a game you might know, called "doubles tennis"?

Boy, the hype machine is going full force.

As I'm sure you can tell, I support Rafa (and Roger) and it took even Rafa three years to get from his debut Slam championship in 05 to his first stay @ #1 starting August 18, 2008.

Please, dudes ...

you must chill.
