TW Map?

I think a map with the locations of all members who wish to be located would be a great idea. This used to be possible through the now-defunct Frappr site, but I've been told that it could be accomplished through Google Maps with a little knowledge of script.

Does anyone else think that this is a good idea?

Added: Pin your home court location on the map: (Gmail ID required)
http://maps.google.com/maps/ms?ie=UT...a09ca0c6165f8a

TO ADD LOCATION: (DD edit)
I figured it out. click the Edit button on the left, and then right click the spot that you want to place yourself and click "Add a placemark".

Edit: In case of privacy issues, please pin location of your home courts instead of your residence.

I can find Richmond, VA all by myself should I want to look you up.

Wha' the VA!??

Whoa, wait a minute Vasco de Gama, I thought RICHMOND was located just 5 miles north of ALBANY

;-)

r2473 09-29-2011 10:05 AM

No, no.

I meant that I can find the VA in Richmond. Big building.

I'm under witness protection program, but I play at Conard HiSchool in West Hartford occasionally. Incognito.

You could probably set up something on Travelpod, with a little finagling.

I didn't say I wanted to be found. I don't think I owe you money, and I'm pretty sure you don't owe me money. I just thought it would be a cool feature.

Someone I went to high school with taught tennis at Fernridge Park. He's staking out Conard, looking for you, right now

I like the idea!

I've marked me down.

I used to live in California. That would have been easy to find. Now that I live someplace else, I can't find it. I owe that to the CA public skoolz systim.

Thanks. For some reason, even though I am logged in, I can't edit my posting to add my name. I plugged in the location, saved it, but I am locked out of the edit option.

I figured it out. click the Edit button on the left, and then right click the spot that you want to place yourself and click "Add a placemark".

The satellite images have improved incredibly in my area. I placed myself on court 2 at our home courts (at the net, of course).

You also need to be logged in with a Google account (Gmail's just fine)
