Federer vs Roddick- Basel 2011

Who do you think will win this time around? I've always enjoyed their matches. They are meeting for the 23rd time... :P

Rock Strongo 11-03-2011 12:03 PM

Hoping for 3-20!

JayChu 11-03-2011 12:16 PM

Federer in 2.

Will be shocked if Federer wins in 3 or if Roddick wins at all...even though I wish that Roddick could win.

Hood_Man 11-03-2011 12:30 PM

Federer in 3, but I only think it will be 3 because Federer will start hearing Lady Gaga, the shipping forecast, or what he'll be having for dinner in his head when he should be concentrating on holding serve in the second set.

Is it really worth a thread? Even though as a Fed fan I'm rooting for Roddick Fed is going to win pretty easily 6-3 6-3 maybe

kishnabe 11-03-2011 12:57 PM

Roddick 7-6(4), 6-2

The Bawss 11-03-2011 01:05 PM

P(roddick winning) = 0

LOL

I wouldn't exactly say 0.

He has beaten Federer twice in his career, so it is more like

P(Roddick Winning) = 0.01 or 0.001

h2h updated this time tomorrow:
21-2

wilkinru 11-03-2011 02:39 PM

there may be a time when roddick's serve wins out.

but i dont think we're there yet.

tacou 11-03-2011 02:55 PM

heyy no one saw Miami 2008 coming did they?

I think Fed will win but I'm mostly excited just to see these two go at it again as their careers both wind down (Roddick's sadly a bit quicker than Rog)

I hope the "good" Andy R shows up! If he does I'd like to see it go the whole 3 (or is it 5) sets.

Heh. So do I.

I do also think HoodMan has a point; ******** could make a random appearance at any time.

I had the privilege of watching Roger's US Open 4R from a (gifted) courtside box seat, when he had something to galvanize his attention. It continues to boggle my mind that those two personas can co-exist in the same person.

Tammo 11-03-2011 04:21 PM

Roddick in 3. 4-6 6-2 7-5

Yeah, it really feels like he has MPD at times T_T

Have u seen Rod's slice BHs?

It's like a photocopy of Rodge's.

rdis10093 11-03-2011 06:32 PM

not so sure about that. A two hander is not going to have as much slice as a one handed backhand player.
