What happened to that other paint job thread? It seems to have died an untimely death.

You are killing me. The XV1 sounds/feels like it might be a perfect frame for me. I found volkl due to TE and a local shop pointing me towards the v1 as an option. I have been a volkl loyalist since.
I have tried to search for threads where the xv1 is discussed but due to the search limitations ( am I the only one who thinks that the three letter rule on searches on a web forum where eveverything that is discussed has a three letter moniker is odd?)
Anyway what's the expectation on this frame in terms of timing and upgrades / playability

J

I haven't seen it, and the rep stays at his girlfriend's apartment only 5 minutes walk from mine near the FDR, lol. I'll post as soon as I can whether it be his or my forthcoming frame. Unfortunately, there are only a few of them in the country, so I may have to wait a bit. But the word is that the string bed is extremely plush and the release date is sometime in February. They also changed the throat, making it more stable.

V1 Report

First Report:

"Very crisp and more powerful, stable V1. Definitely feels stiffer, but still has the comfort you'd expect from a V1. Very soft string bed."...Futures competitor who hit with it yesterday.

I just received camera phone photos. The first guy who I can email it to who is willing to post them here will have them as soon as I finish reading the email.

Just saw it the other day and it is a really fabulous looking stick. Didn't get a chance to hit with it, and the paint job is really something special. Dealer (surprisingly) said that it is the best V1MP ever.

If it plays like all the other Organix sticks, then I can believe that it will be a genuine upgrade from the PBV1.

Looks like the beam at the top is considerably narrower than the previous versions. I am assuming that is due to the characteristics of the nano material.
Great looking frame.
Cant wait to give it a go!

Perhaps this is my TT calling...

The posted image is a computer generated image, vaguely approximating the look of the forthcoming racquet. It provides a picture of what the graphic scheme will look like. The actual production racquet will look noticeably different in shape but very similar graphically.

Here are TennisMaverick's photos of the Organix V1

Why did Volkl stop printing "Precise Frame" along the bottom of the V1 hoop?

joli 11-20-2011 02:13 AM

Hello
Someone can tell me where I can get pictures of the Volkl Organix 3?

thanks

nice looking frame! Seems like a light frame. 25-22-28 is very tapered too.

Is the racquet very stiff?

The major accounts in the Northeast, including Baltimore and 19th/Bdwy, have all put in major orders for the XV1. There's a lot of excitement; it's an easy sell.

TennisMaverick 11-22-2011 10:47 AM

Just received a call; I will have my XV1 around dinner time tonight! Will apprise when I do. Off to the court.

TennisMaverick 11-23-2011 01:14 AM

I have the XV1in hand!

The first thing that you notice is its color, which has been described by many as expresso, bronze, metallic dark copper, deep chocolate brown...but whatever the color, it gives the impression of being very deep while reflecting artificial light. It's CLASSY.

Unstrung, the frame feels well balanced, with a slight nod to its tip, like the X8 315. The Big Grommets at 3/9 are not as large/hefty as the Classic V1, so torsionally, when spun in the hand, it feels lighter than its predecessors, but similar to the PB V1. I assume, many will add a little weight there for added stability. The most noticeable aspect of this iteration is the beams thickness in the throat, which was done to torsionally stiffen the frame in this area--which I've been told is the constant design feature in the new Volkls. The beam is also thicker in the head, making the beam shape though out, much like that of the X10's--basically, the same, and all X-frames will maintain this beam shape. It also has the new X-frame's Bio-Sensor grip system and Optispot. This should be a much stiffer V1.

Specs:

head size: 102in2
weight: 10.1 oz/285 grams
unstrung bal: 32.5 cm/.7 HL/5.5 pts HL
string pattern: 16x19
beam width: 25-22-28
