Head Radical Tour Bumblebee

Hi all,

I am planning to buy first version of rad tour (bumblebee) and wondering what's reasonable price for these sticks in average condition.

On auction site they are listed around 70 ,80. I thought that's too much..

Thanks

Note: Changed the Title

If you're looking for one made in Austria (not the later remakes) and in pretty good condition, I doubt you'll find much better deals. It's getting harder and harder to find them in good condition, so the price isn't really going to go much lower.

I have a brand new one and am wondering what a good price for it would be. It is the midplus version.

That's about right for one in 8/10 condition.

Hi All,

I am able to get couple of bumblebees and here are some of the pics. The strange thing i noticed is on the throat of one of the racquet it says "HEAD Austria" not "HEAD Made in Austria". I found it strange !!

The other one just has HEAD and it looks like it was a made in china version.

I replaced the grommets and bumper guard as they are badly worn out.

This is sample for the made in Austria:

Hi,

I think out of the two i got one is made in Austria and the other is made in china.

I found an old thread referring to the same

http://tt.tennis-warehouse.com/showthread.php?t=104631

It seems the "HEAD Austria" on throat is some limited edition release.

I have now three Radical Tour OS and and no two are same version !! (one Made in Austria , one Made in China and the other i think Made in Austria). I also have one MP which is made in Austria and has Radical Trysys 260 on one side of the throat.

These are all nice racquets. Let us know how you like them.

Hi,

I haven't hit with these new ones yet.

I really liked playing with the original one which i already have.

I need to string these two ( as i am replacing the grommets and bumper guard).

I have a reel of Prince Original Syn Gut and planning to get Gosen OG Sheep Micro.

Any String suggestions for these.

thanks

I've got a few of the originals and the reissues, and if it doesn't say "MADE IN AUSTRIA#" on it, you most likely have the later reissued made in China ones...you can also tell by the "ART#231770" on the inside of the throat. The made in China Radical Tour looks almost the same as the original, is still a very solid frame but as many have said, probably is just pure Graphite without the Twaron the original ones made in the mid 1990s had.

Same rackets, different names for different markets. The Trisys 260 was for sale in America. The Radical Tour was for sale in Europe and elsewhere.

Radical 260/Tours - great sticks.

Still play with them; like the Pro Tour but a little stiffer.

70-80 for reasonable condition is a fair price. You may find one cheaper but I wouldn't hold my breath.

Bumpers - easy to find/replace. The Prestige CAPS fit and work well for me.

String wise - I have been playing with a gut/poly hybrid. Feels and plays great. Recently I took the plunge and hit a full bed of poly in 40's. I'm smitten and my elbow is holding out well.
