DIY Grass court shoes

Has anyone tried getting some worn out tennis and shoe gooing little dimples on to make them work on grass? Seems pretty ghetto but it works in my mind

seems like a TON of work. What type of dimples did you have in mind and where would you get them?

This he means the actual shoe goo droplets would be the dimples.

like icing a cake.

If your that cheap why not buy some of those traction socks with the rubber/dimpled bottoms and just pull them over your shoes?

Oh wow, that would be interesting. I would love to see that, and how long they would last, the droplets themselves.

Since it's grass they should last pretty long

I can't see it working that well, but go for it and report back. You never know, you might be on to something.

Sounds like a lot of work for something that might not even benefit you.

Is there really a grass court shoe? Will I need them when I play a tournament on grass?

You should be fine in your regular tennis shoes. But yes the companies do make grass court specific shoes with little pimples on the bottom.

On Vancouver Island we have grass courts but the junior tourney isnt till August so it wont be until then

An Idea

I have not tried this yet, bit I think it will work.

I was look at floor mats for cars one day and notice the bottom is similar to grass court shoes. You can probably find one that is thin, cut it out and stick it on the bottom your shoes with shoe goo.

If anyone tries this let me know how it works, please.
