"More supportive than a hometown crowd"

LOL. Man that's classic.

hummer23 08-05-2005 12:08 PM

they really are good though, i got one from my doctor when i turned an ankle. it is very supportive, but i found it a little restrictive to wear just as a precautionary measure. that being said, if ou like that tight feeling, they are very nice.

Tchocky 08-08-2005 08:55 AM

They look funny. Do I need to wear a bigger shoe size or a thinner sock? Does Roddick have weak ankles because he's been wearing these for awhile?

atatu 08-08-2005 09:09 AM

They are great, I've worn Kallassy and the Donjoy rocketsock and the ASO is the best. Also, it's getting harder and harder to find mid cut shoes, so I may just start wearing them on both ankles and go to low cut shoes.

I would definitely say go with the black ones. I've had a pair of white ones for about a year and they get dirty and discolored pretty fast. Also, the stains dont wash out very well.

Nadal_Rulz 08-10-2005 08:54 AM

good, i ordered the black one already partially for that reason and becauise it would accent my shoes :)

ibemadskillzz 08-11-2005 11:42 AM

I have the black one also, bc i know the white ones will get dirty soon.

Does wearing this affect the fitting of your shoes? Because I buy my shoes perfectly fit, and if I am stuck between two sizes, I go for the smaller one, cause I hate having loose shoes.

BTW, McDavid ankle supports (made in USA) r identical.

Would anyone mind answering this question?

A 'sticky' for Roddick's ankle brace!?

Apparently, sales of the device were rather slow.

I'm sure they've picked up now, though.

Sad.

Noelle 08-29-2005 01:50 AM

No, Deuce. We were getting new threads about Roddick's ankle braces almost every month so I asked TW to sticky one of the threads. Now that TW has the ankle braces for sale, they put up their own sticky thread.

i got a black one and it was really good when i sprianed my anckle.

Nadal_Rulz 09-10-2005 10:20 AM

they good.i sarted toi wear one on my left ankle cause when i slide on clay its generally with my left frward and my left hurts sometimes too.but i was so lucky cause i was playing har-tru and slid and i probably would have sprained my ankel or something if i didnt have the brace

Rodzilla 09-16-2005 07:22 PM

Are these the 'best' out there for tennis players?

I find myself in the predicament of 'rolling' my ankle from time to time, but nothing too serious yet and I hope to prevent anything serious from happening. I'm also in to that tight feeling. Do you think I should purchase these?

I believe Roddick did roll his ankles when he was still in his beginning years as a pro, and he decided that ankle braces were the way to go.

TW also listed Hewitt as wearing this ankle brace, but in reality I'm pretty sure he wears Kallassy like Chang did.

Prince_of_Tennis 09-16-2005 11:39 PM

I bought them for my ankles since I have sprained both during soccer. I got them for percautionary reasons. They are awesome, very good investment!
