Head radical grommets

I am looking for replacement grommet sets for the Head Agassi Radical OS.
I typically used the Head Ti. Radical OS/ i Radical OS grommets (they fit perfect) , but now they have been discontinued.

Microgel grommet set fit, but grommets are too short to work proper

Anyone here used a grommet set that is compatable? Thanks.

Just so others here would know, for the Agassi Radical OS.... the Microgel radical, Liquid Metal Radical, and Youtek Radical grommet sets will not work properly. (I was told by someone who thought that all Radicals would fit but thats not so, as all of these have approx. 2mm shorter grommets and just barely goes through the frame so it does not protect enough and the YT grommets are even spaced a little differently as well) . Seems the Ti Radical and i radical OS grommets have been discontinued and are the only ones I know that do fit.

Seems the racquet manuf. stops making grommet sets way too early.
New racquets typically don't need grommets replaced, and when it gets a little older, manufacturers stop having them available!

You are correct Jim. The "almost fits" do not feel the same, but sometimes you have to make do. Why Head did not make replacements, or include extras, on the A.A. is beyond me.

I have not replaced bumpers/grommets on that one (I have two that do not get played) but they should take TK59, which is what the Trisys Radical OS takes -- the original NOS labels also show models "Radial Tour 690", "Radical Tour 690 TT", "Tour 690" in addition to "Radical Trisys Tour OS as fitments.

These are extremely rare and pricey. I am down to two of these. The common work-around is the Ti Radical OS. But not the same and not truly satisfactory.

EDIT: Be very careful buying these, as many people represent the Ti Radical OS sets as the original replacements.

Curious if the grommets are for a customer's frame or your own. If for a customer, s/he would just have to 'bite the bullet' and pay for grommets from that place in Atlanta, if they have any.

Also am wondering what happens if you fit the 'not so good' grommets and string with cheap nylon to seat the grommets, if that would work. I've had issues with sets that did not appear to fit, but were OK once they were seated with a string bed.

Wishful thinking, at least with our Radical Trisys 260 OS's.

This case was for my own racquet. I have used the head Ti/i Radical OS grommet sets in the Agassi Radical OS and they do fit in nice in this racquet, not even a slight struggle to install like some others. I guess that the grommets are a slight amount smaller in thickness than the originals, so some people get a little noise with those in place, but Head never made any grommets avail. for the AA Radical racquets when they came out.The present Head radical grommet sets (YT, MG, LM) do not fit the way grommets are intended to and really should not be used in my opinion.
Only thing, now Head discontinued the Ti/i radical OS grommets. looks like from now on I will need to just bite the bullit as you say and get them from the big auction site.

Curious as to what is the place in Atlanta you are referring to. Should be no conflict here as TW does not offer the groommets needed.

I just checked their site and they say they have in stock the Ti and i Radical OS grommets, but you should call.

I believe that will also custom make grommets (think Arm, Leg and 1st born) as well as buying out older grommet sets not listed.

Also t e n n i s m e n a c e in GA as well

No.. Thats one place that took my order and found out they do not have them, told me be a week, now its till end of Nov.so I cancelled order. A # of other places told me they are now discontinued and no longer avail.

OK. I had a 'senior moment'. The place that can make grommets for an arm, leg, 1st born is the place mentioned by Fortun8son. They are reputed to have older grommet sets, so I would probably continue to check with them and m e n a c e every once in a while.

Sorry about e x p r e s s. Did not know that you had already check them.
