Differences in feel from different coloured Super Grap
Hi,
Has anyone noticed any significant differences in the feel and quality between different colours of Yonex Supergrap? I have usually used black Super Grap but there is a shop near me that only sells the white but at a very good price. Ive seen threads that seem to suggest there is a difference in feel/absorbancy/tack between the two colours but I was just wondering how significant the difference is? I'd rather spend £6 on the right overgrips rather than £4 on the wrong ones. Many thanks |
The white lasts longer and is tackier (and rougher on the skin) than the black.
I usually use the white in the summer and the black in the winter. |
The white is the best! I hated the black and all other colors.

Its bizarre, but I agree that the white does seem tackier than the black.
Strange that the same product has different feels dependent on colour. I did once use the light blue, which felt very similar to the white, but not the nicest of colours. |
I noticed some difference between the black and the white. The black seemed more "rubbery." I like the white better (but not enough difference to not use the black ones I have).

Read somewhere that white grips don't use any kind of some-product-used-to-color-things, hence being more tacky. As for the Wilson Pro, I can notice a slight difference in tackyness between whites and other colors, whites being better.

I've used several different colors of Super Grap, and I can't tell any difference between them.

so you're basically saying that tacky grips might perform better on natural (white) color.. no just SuperGrap.

I did/do feel a defference between the lighter colors of SG and the darker colors....White and yellow seem the tackiest and most durable to me....for some reason red and navy felt very spongy...could be because they were old? My local place was sold out of white and yellow so I grabbed these two packs in a jam, have a feeling they don't sell much...
