Prince 2013 racquets

What racquets are being updated in 2013. Are they putting out new tours?

DonBot 09-10-2012 01:15 PM

Whatever they put out, I would bet they will have a bunch of speed holes that help the frame crack prematurely.

The will be releasing at least 1 frame with traditiinal grommets.

Say Chi Sin Lo 09-10-2012 02:20 PM

Yeah aren't they guaranteeing 33% more spin or some crap like that in their next line of swiss cheese?

uk_skippy 09-10-2012 02:23 PM

They are planning to release a number of rqts with very open string patterns, 16x16 and even a 14x16. Those rqts will also have the 03 holes, and some rqts will see the return of the double bridge system.

They've also worked on strings to maximise the spin potential of the above rqts and retain durability.

I see nothing wrong with the "swiss cheese" holes, i.e., ports. The EXO3 Red 105 has helped my game immensely.

As part of being sold to another company. They restructured the business, but never went out of business.

floide 09-10-2012 07:05 PM

Haven't played with a "swiss cheese" Prince, but I'm curious: Did anyone actually notice some benefit from those holes?

all-court-loser 09-11-2012 12:11 AM

ok, i wasn't gonna tell but ever since uk skippy was telling you guys about what's coming from prince i am going to say a few words.

first of all the new tech will be called ESP which should stand for extreme string pattern.

i playtested the new tech already in febuary or march. the racquet was blacked out but i think it was supposed to be a rebel 98 with a 14/16 or 16/16 stringpattern and a silicone double bridge.

when playing with it i noticed that i produced a really fast and a hard to predict ball for my opponent.
the first 5 minutes i really had problems with getting the ball in but after that i got used to that much more power and had a lot of fun.

i am really looking forward for those new esp-racquets and think that they will make new more aggressive playing-styles possible!

to keep it in marketing words: "a new tech for a new generation of players!" ;-)

I've seen a couple of the frames, including the 'special' string at Wimbledon. 1 of the Junior girls was also using 1 of the rqts.

I've also been told by a Prince contact who I'm friends with, and by a company that distributes Prince products here in the UK.

Regards

Paul

I was as big a skeptic as anyone, but I gotta say that I love mine.

Did you get to string the special string? Hit with it?

I've gotten to try some new string from Prince lately, and the new poly is pretty exciting.

There are many types of bankruptcy, many of which doesn't involve Prince closing up shop for good.

I didn't personally string the rqts as they were allocated to the same stringer. The junior was having 1 rqt strung a day and none came in broken.

Certainly didn't hit with it, no time, or strangely enough, no courts to use.

Once the restructuring has happened, Prince will be in a strong (initial) position as to financing, and that financing is long term.

Try a gettyimages search: Antonia Lottner. German Junior who played USO juniors and seems to be playing with what looks like a new tour? 16x16 pattern? When you look closely the frame has a slightly tweaked paintjob at 3 and 9 oclock areas compared to the current EXO3 tour line.
