iPhone question
 

So with the iPhone 5 announcement, the iPhone 4 is now "free". But what if I get the "free" iPhone and also order an iPhone 5 that I want to use and will use instead?

The iPhone 4 will be "free" with a new two-year contract, I assume. So if you got the 4 and the 5, and only use the 5, you'd end up paying monthly charges for two phones.

A surprising number of individuals have multiple smartphone contracts. I know people who own 5 or 6 phones simultaneously.

So apple releases the iphone 5 that essentially has the same features many android phones have had for months if not years and its a big deal???

And for all the apple law suits; the new 5 looks and feels alot like the samsung galaxy III???

Can't really accuse Apple of too much hypocrisy since they are likely to sue themselves as well as every other possible competitor. iphone 5 substantially similar to 4 = patent infringement!

At least they are consistent in their money grubbing stupidity.

Android still doesn't come close to iOS in terms of smoothness of the UI....this is coming from a GNex w/ Jellybean and 4S user. Though Jellybean has made significant inroads compared to ICS in the smoothness category.

I just never liked the Galaxy series form factor. Too often I'm trying to navigate one handed and it's uncomfortable to stretch the thumb to pull down the drawer for my toggles. I wonder which manufacturer can balance larger screen size with small form factor and find the perfect balance.

OTOH, also waiting for GNote 2.

I would agree..I really love my droid phone, but I have done all kinds of hacks and stuff to it as well. I'd prefer to sell it and get an iphone even though my droid specs out rather well and is one of the best phones out there.

I am wondering how much it will be to get an iphone without a contract upgrade.

This mania is why a phone has the potential to increase the GNP of the world's largest economy by .5%! That is a statement of how twisted our economic foundation has become. Thanks, but I'll stick with my "3" I got on contract for $99 2.5 years ago. Unless the AT&T guys want to give me a "4".

Is there anything about Iphone 5 that is better than Samsung galaxy S3 ?

So AT&T will "give" me a "4" for a buck or a 4S for $99! Any advice on the 4S advantages? I know it's twice the storage (8 vs 16 g's) and has Suri (no biggie to me). Is the camera better? What else?
