Just bought Gel Resolution 4's
Never actually played in them, but I've read some pretty good things. I'm a 4.0 and I play 6 days a week 3-4 hours a day.
How does TT like this shoe? |
plan to get those too..
what were your previous shoes? and how do the GR4 feel? |
Man, I wish these fit me. :-(
|
I previously used the Propulse 3's and sometimes my Feather Lites.
They feel really good so far! Have only worn them out to the store due to rain here in Texas all weekend. |
this line used to have breakin period. is this still true ?
|
I didn't need any break-in period for mine. IMO, these are a flexible and comfortable shoe right out of the box. They have good support and look great. Overall, I like them 95% as much as my Vapor 9.
|
I like em. Mine are still ok. Wife's made it 3 months and are in to be exchanged for warranty.
|
Love mine. No break-in period. Solid support and nice comfort. No regrets at all.

I've been impressed so far. I'm in between B7s right now, and it's been an easy transition. I did feel like my heel sat up a little higher than in the Barricades (maybe just a slight bit of heel slippage from the GR4s), but after a few weeks of being in them, I think I've worked the insole down. I did the 1/2 size adjustment per the TW suggestion, and they fit great.

I got them as a warranty replacement for the GR3s and loved them out of the box. Great stability, cushioning and traction. Durability is meh. Once the outsole wore down there was a lot of flex in the forefoot and the upper was rolling over the edge. But excellent shoes while they last (a month for me, which is avg.).

a month?? that's pretty fast.. so you also grind Barricades in a month? Barricades take me around 6 months or so. |
Maybe 10 hrs a week on hardcourt. I can't wear barricades, the arches feel really weird to me, but I go through Ballistec 4.3s in about a month as well. Although I find ballistecs to be more stable over time and I only wear through the toe area. With the GR3/GR4s the whole sole was really worn thin and lost stability.

so it takes you 40 hours to grind them out? this is very strange. i play around 5-6 hours a week and i'm pretty tough on shoes. it means that your foot work must be pretty extreme! or it means that Barricades wear out considerably slower. |
