Babolot overgrips
Babolot overgrips feel pretty good to me.
Feel soft and seem to last longer Anyone have any comments on this grip which just appeared here in Bangkok ?? |
Here's my experience with Bab overgrips.
1. They peel...quickly 2. They move on the handle as you play which is the worst 3. Tack wears off quickly 4. Seem cheaper quality than most, yet price is high. |

Thanks for the information.
Unexpected comments for sure. I have not used them long enough to see these effects but will be on guard. Thanks again. I hear many people like Yonex and Wilson of specific types which I forgot but will look up again. |
I've tried many and my favorite is still Wilson pro overgrip...
|
To the OP: the negative opinions (including my own) about Babolat grips ar only... opinions. If you're happy using those grips, it means that they work for you. :)

Babolat VS grip moves around, bunches together when used with the Babolat leather grip underneath, which I find kinda funny but whatever. My favourite overgrip is still the Yonex Supergrap. Consistent, good life span, and great feel.

The best babolat overgrip i believe is the Pro Team Tacky. Its really cushiony and doesnt slip. But it wears out fast, mine go for about a 3 days when i play regularly so like 10 hours.
|
I only use 3 Babolat VS Overgrips on my racquet. Never had any problems with them moving on the handle while playing...
Also used Wilson Pro Overgrip. Nice, but I like the soft dry feel of the Bab more. The Babs wear a bit quickly, but that's because they're so tin. I don't have any problem with it. |
Kirschbaum overgrips are amazing.
|
Is there a difference between overgrips and replacement grips?
Babolat French Open for me. |
^^^Sorry what I should have asked is how do you know if it's time for an overgrip or a replacement grip e.g. what to go for.

I prefer the Wilson Pro. In Babolat, the better ones are "Pro Tour"
|
I use VS original and it doesn't move on my racquet but it did when i had a leather grip so i think the leather has something to do with it. It doesn't hold its position on leather given the low level of tack opposed to other syn grips.
I just saw that wilson now has a super thin pro overgrip and it appears just as thin if not thinner than VS original. Anyone got the actual measurements? I googled it and the results i got show that it matches the same as each other. |
I rather use yonex super grap than this stuff
