anyone else a fan of "The Blue Nile"?

I am always being chided by main streamers about my music.
I love the music you never hear on the radio.
The Blue Nile is one of my favorites.

I also like Pink Floyd
Siouxsie and the Banshees
The Housemartins

Pink Floyd indeed.
btw they made the soundtrack of the movie "More" with a song called " The nile song".
+Atom Heart Mother is an underrated album.

I tried to listen to 'Hats' a while ago and didn't get very far. If there was one song that'd be ideal for winning new converts, what would it be?

The best thing to do is play the album while you are doing something else. Have it in the background so that it get used to the style without thinking about it. Otherwise you might balk at the slow rhythm if you are accustomed to more upbeat styles.
I paint, and it is great to listen to when doing something of that nature.

The song that sticks with me is "Downtown Lights".

I hope you like it, but if you don't, Moby has some good ambient music as well.
