stretching a overgrip while wrapping
I got curious about this. If you stretch the overgrip, will it loose its comfort and exchange it for bevel feel?
|
I think it would depend on what overgrip you are using. Say, tournagrip, I would stretch quite a bit to get the bubbles out. As for like a Wilson pro overgrip, you can stretch a little, but I do not think you would want to stretch with a lot of force.

^^ i do the same with those OGs as well. OGs like wilson pro or yonex supergrap tends to get too narrow if you stretch them too much, and you'll end up with a lot more overlaps which i hate.
if you are really going for bevel feel, then change the replacement grip out for leather. |
I do have a leather grip, wonder if i I do it

I do stretch my Wilson Pro's quite firmly (not "strongly") for the sake of the bevels. And yes, I already use a leather replacement grip.

One thing for sure, the more you stretch it, the faster it will wear out.

pro/supergrap/supreme doesn't feel as tacky when you stretch it too much

I've only ever really used black Super Grap (which I love) but when stretched it is much less absorbent, and becomes slippery/smooth much faster. |
