Why Do player use a 90 head size? What make u not switch?

Hello everyone,

This is for player who hit with a 90 head size. How do u stay with a 90 headsize racket and not switch to a bigger head size?

If you don't mind telling me which the name of the 90 you use?

Really? Another "LOOK AT ME! I PLAY WITH A MIDSIZE!" thread...

I'm going to assume you mean well and not bragging rights, so I'll contribute:

Wilson BLX90, ex-PC600 user (technically a 89.5)

I'm sticking with a mid because anything bigger feels anti-aerodynamic, cumbersome, and bulky during my swing. As unscientifically as it sounds, mid frames cut through the air faster. One of my reasons to stick with a mid.

However, the real reason is because I grew up playing with mids and I have gotten used to it. It's the natural size/spec for me.

Fairly agree to pretty much everything you said except the ''I grew up playing with...'' I actually inherited, well more like found wooden racquets of the Borg era in my father's hiding place.:) Yeah, Donnays ''DonThey'' rock? Hence, the affinity towards mids but I found out Barbie VS NCT Tour to be the only racquet in the tweener section I can single out as love at first hit more so than the Pure Drives unleaded. Wilson Hammer 110 sq in? I've tried those too, nothing to say, else I would have tried the 118, 125 to 138s too.:)

I'm playing with the new BLX pro staff 90, but when i see other players even pro players with 95-100 make me think is upgrading my head size :(. . . . thinking of switching to Dunlop Bio 200 tour.

I would switch to prostaff85 if I were you. People will get puzzled by your old school and query you, and you'll tell them you have so much skill you don't need a modern racquet.

That awesome haha. I didn't use mid when i first started playing tennis. I started with wilson Kblade 98. :(

Headsize makes little difference. I hit the same with a 88, 90, 93, 95, and 98. My groundstrokes are most dangerous with the 88, actually. Easier to win rallies, because the other guy's scrambling back and forth the entire time.

However, I have experimented and chosen to begin with a Wilson Hammer 110 and reverted immediately.:)

I can fairly say the same, though I can do with an 85, I'd still prefer the 90.

The KF88 is the juiciest when it comes to thundering down the balls. Nothing compares to it.

I did not like the PST 90 and the NCode 90 though as I go through its various iterations. But I liked best the KF90 and BLX PST 90.

Give room for the guy on the opposite side of the net to disembark, give em breadsticks instead of bagels, at least they would think they have a chance!:)

Yeah you give him a finger and he'll bite your hand off 11-9 in the tiebreak.
