Federer-Murray Shanghai 2012 semi-finals

This is the best possible place for Murray to face Federer.

It's a semi-final. It's a hard court. It's a Masters.

I think Federer will win this match if he really wants it (or really wants to end the year on a high note) but Murray won't be easy to beat. All in all, as a Fed fan I don't have high expectations. Cool if he wins, go on if he loses.

I think Murray in 2. Although I'd like to see Federer in 2.

RidAH 10-12-2012 05:58 AM

Surprised if it's in straight sets to either. I'll pick Fed but a very slight margin. Form of the day decides!

Dark Magician 10-12-2012 05:59 AM

Federer is not even close to the form he needs to beat murray! either murray plays bad or Fed plays much much better for Fed to win.

AnotherTennisProdigy 10-12-2012 05:59 AM

It'll be 3 sets regardless if who wins IMO. I'll pick Murray just because of more recent success.

Both guys haven`t played that well so far and who will take the chances will win. It`s an even matchup and form on the day will decide it

Murray in 2! Federer does not play well

dangalak 10-12-2012 06:05 AM

Didn't Murray play a terrible match today? Oh wait, most TTWers have the memory of a goldfish and do not remember more than the last match they watched. (and yes, I know that goldfish don't forget sh*t all the time)

ditli04 10-12-2012 06:07 AM

Both are not in topform, if Murray gets healthier til tomorrow, I think he will win. However I don't see one of them win the tournament!

Carsomyr 10-12-2012 06:20 AM

I really don't even think Federer played that poorly, to be honest. Had some brain farts when serving, but his form off the ground looked pretty good, honestly. His returning mindset was exceptional.

Murray in 2
or in 3
might be Fed in 2..
or in 3.

Might Federer retire...
or Murray...:)

No1e 10-12-2012 06:34 AM

Murray in 3, because Fed has been mediocre so far.

Terrible play but still wins: huh... if he's feeling better tomorrow (physically), what do you expect from his performance?

Nole can straight set either of the two. No problem.

Gonzo_style 10-12-2012 06:50 AM

Oh I see. Didn't know Fed has so many 5-year-old fans who like name calling.
