Tension for Forten Sweet mains/Red Code crosses in Prestige MP?

I stupidly mis-cut a set of Red Code and now have roughly 18' left over. I know that a synth gut main/poly cross hybrid will lack durability, but I figure now's as good a time as any to try it just for kicks. The main will be Forten Sweet 16 Gold, and I'm stringing on a cheap Klippermate drop-weight. Any suggestions on tension in a Prestige MP?

I just strung forten sweet 17 @58lbs M with Pro's Pro Hexaspin 1.25mm @52 C and played good. I like Forten sweet @58. Main or Cross.

Maybe save it, do you like syn-poly hybrid? Are you gonna buy another reel ? You can save the half set to cross with the next reel of poly you will buy.
You can also buy half set of natural gut and use it as main.

Yeah, I usually do poly mains/synth gut crosses rather than full poly, and this is my last set of Red Code anyway. I know it isn't the wisest hybrid choice, but I feel like experimenting! bigmalik76, thanks for the tension recommendation. I'll give that a shot.

In my experience Forten Sweet mains will last as long as poly mains would, if you consider playability.

Just in case anyone else tries this experiment, Forten Sweet 16 at 58 lbs. in the mains and Red Code 17 at 52 lbs. in the crosses shortens the Prestige MP frame about an eighth of an inch. Haven't hit with it yet. I'll report back.

Well, that's why I string syn gut mains and poly crosses at the same tension. I hate to see the frame deform, yuck!
