Grommet broken in racquet. HELP!

Hey guys, One of my clients tried to replace his own grommets in his racquet. It was a very bad idea, he had broken the grommet completely off from the other ones, leaving two grommets still stuck in the racquet that are side by side. I tried everything I could to get the grommet out but I can not, any ideas?:confused:

The bad part is that they were both tie-off holes so the grommets are very mushroomed.

Heat gun/hair dryer to soften up the stuck grommets. Use needle nose pliers to pull the stuck grommets out. Pull to the side and not towards your face. Don't want to hit yourself if the needle nose slips.

Okay, Thank you so much for replying.

A 'Grommet Grinder' or square awl will grab the inside of the barrel and allow you to push and twist in the proper direction.

Having a broken grommet flying around loose inside the frame is an entirely different animal...we don't want to go there! ;)

Nothing better than the right tool for the job. Note that these usually come in two sizes -- get both. I like the Kimony grinders. They get infrequent use but are indispensable for situations like this.
