What is your favorite tournament?

self explanatory

Mine is Alcupolco. 500 so usually a decent turnout. filled with classic clay court tennis.

kishnabe 11-14-2012 07:43 PM

World Tour Finals and ParisMS1000 for the courts being fast.

Australian Open....because everyone is fresh and not match prepared....thus unpredictable 5 setters along with high level play from the top 10.

Paul Murphy 11-14-2012 07:48 PM

USO, but preferred it when it was faster.

Indian Wells. I feel like the players' excitement over the tournament is palpable. Plus the top guys usually play doubles, which is nice to see.

The French Open. Rome is up there as well.

I'd have to say Wimbledon because that's what I grew up watching. That was the sum total of tennis on TV all year and everyone watched it. My earliest tennis memories are of McEnroe, Connors, Borg and Navratalova and Evert Lloyd (what a crush I had) frolicking on the lawns of the all England club. My obsession was born and nostalgia has only made the memories sweeter.

Sabratha 11-14-2012 08:27 PM

The US Open.

cluckcluck 11-14-2012 08:44 PM

+1 on Indian Wells. The players are so accessible there. The practice courts are so close and the weather is perfect that time of the year.

adil1972 11-14-2012 08:45 PM

wimbledon and us open

svijk 11-14-2012 08:48 PM

Cincy is the best overall imo

Prisoner of Birth 11-14-2012 09:27 PM

Wimbledon.

vegasgt3 11-14-2012 09:57 PM

Cincy is the best

Murrayfan31 11-14-2012 09:59 PM

Australian Open and US Open. Hardcourts are for the most versatile players. Ones that don't adapt well are not versatile.

Aus Open. Live 20 mins from Melbourne Park so that goes without saying.

Tafmatch 11-14-2012 10:49 PM

To visit: 's Hertogenbosch because it's close to where I live and it's grass!

To watch: Wimbledon/US Open

TennisLovaLova 11-15-2012 12:00 AM

Any tournament Federer wins is fine with me.
But I really like Cincy the Real Slam

kOaMaster 11-15-2012 12:17 AM

Wimbledon. That's just THE ONE for me and even though I'm Swiss, I've visited Wimbledon more than any other tennnis tournament.

Netspirit 11-15-2012 12:25 AM

I like all grass tournaments, WTF (gladiator fights), USO (video quality), Indian Wells (California), Cincy (court speed).

I hate Miami, all red clay, Canada, Dubai/Qatar, Shanghai, Bercy.

joeri888 11-15-2012 12:40 AM

Wimbledon for obvious reasons.

Rotterdam, because it's here and pretty fast.

WTF, Cincy, Paris for being at least decent speed

AO for its atmosphere, the intensity of a new year with much hope and expectation, plus the time difference. I love waking up at night and watching into the day.
