yes, i spoke to the babolat rep and he said that it was gonna be two filaments(?) of string twisted together, which would have better tension maintenance and produce more spin. he said the main reason they did this was for the tension maintenance, not the the spin though. he really made that point clear.

BoomstickTPH 11-23-2012 08:35 PM

Ah that's why I'm thinking this string is black and white. It is dual after all.

Francis27 11-24-2012 05:28 AM

so this string is 2 colours?

Yes. Black & white. If you take a profile of the string and the colours are quartered.

Paul

Sweet thanks!

v-verb 11-24-2012 05:52 AM

I'll give it a try

VamosPanda 11-25-2012 03:02 AM

So this string is a better tension maintenance of RPM? With the same spin potential? Or better?

HarryB-97 11-25-2012 06:48 AM

nadal has already used this string since the australian open, you can see here how he is using the twisted string, i noticed it a while back but didn't think anything of of but take at look at this really carefully and you will see it, especially in the crosses http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/tennis/ zoom in if you can to get a better look

Sounds like a lawsuit in the works with Prince. :)

No he hasn't. He uses RPM Blast 1.35mm.

Why? Because of Prince's twisted string? That's a different why of having 2 colours. Theirs is half n half, whereas Babolat's is quartered.

Paul

False, as skippy has just confirmed. You're just seeing string wear.

Nostradamus 11-25-2012 01:35 PM

When is this insanely great string be available to USA ? Also will this string have more Power too ? RPM with little more pop and same amount of spin would be welcome. of course on top of tension maintenance
