Interesting little John McEnroe video...
Just a nice relaxed candid on court interview with John and some people before a little hit I stumbled across. Talks about his game, racquet, strings, grips etc...
Thought it might be interesting to some. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MiEtlb7aWKQ |

I'm sure all the gear heads (like me) loved all the racquet spec talk.

Great Video! As he mentioned in the video Luxilon string does not help the arm. I can play with luxilon big banger alu with a lighter babolat pure drive racquet but when I play with my six one 95 sure enough my tennis elbow comes back. It is always great to hear these guys talk about their string, grip, racquets, and form.

When was this shot? April 2010.?
Mac is holding his old Maxply McEnroe, not the new Bio Max 200G. I guess this was before the release of the 200G. |
thanks for posting that:)
372g and a bit head heavy? because he thinks head heavy is better for his volleys? goes a bit against conventional thinking i would say, but as itīs Mc why should that surprise me |

13.1 oz ("same as my old wood racket") and about 50lbs. cool. what a great point about taking the ball in the air in the old days to avoid having to hit a potential bad bounce groundie on the not-as-good-as-today grass courts of yesteryear.

and I thought my leaded up Bumblebee was heavy...thanks for the clip...I like seeing a candid Mac.
