Gamma Zo Tour

I have heard some good things about this string, what do you people think? Hybrid? Full Bed? Gauge? Rough?

zapvor 12-05-2012 06:54 PM

definite not full bed.

try verve. its awesome

EastAngels2014 12-05-2012 06:58 PM

thats expensive, but i will give it a shot

zapvor 12-05-2012 07:00 PM

yep! thats the reason why i dont use it. but if you were to spend the money verve is best option. ask your shop for a sample

EastAngels2014 12-05-2012 07:02 PM

is tour just no good? and i will

cluckcluck 12-05-2012 07:12 PM

One of my buddies lives by this string. He says it's the best string he's ever tried. It's good, but not the greatest imo.

EastAngels2014 12-05-2012 07:25 PM

does your buddy do a full or a hybrid?

EastAngels2014 12-05-2012 07:34 PM

hey zapvor have you tried the hybrid of zo verve that gamma sells... zo verve and TNT2. Its cheaper so i was wondering if there would be a big difference.

zapvor 12-05-2012 09:15 PM

tour is not bad if you want a super stiff poly

no dont buy into that. do verve mains, and a good syn gut like gosen og sheep. its one of my favorite set ups! try it and let me know. a reel of gosen is only like $35, and TW has free shipping right now!

I often use Zo Tour Rough as a cross string with Pacific Tough Gut. It is probably my second favorite that I have tried, next to Genesis Black Magic.

I think i am going to try zo tour, and zo verve with gosen og sheep and see which one i like better. Thanks for all the input.

zapvor 12-07-2012 12:51 PM

this is downward slide eastangel;) next thing you know youd be posting here every 4hrs asking if i string zo verve 1.25 at 55.5lbs vs zo verve 1.30 at 58.5lbs how much more pace can i get on my slice serve out wide on the deuce side when i am down 15-40, 5-6 3rd set with the wind going eastwest at 9.5mph and cloudy on the opponent side

EastAngels2014 12-07-2012 02:48 PM

not sure if i will go that extreme

zapvor 12-07-2012 07:57 PM

heh i know. dont be like those guys on here;) as you read the threads you will see what i mean

EastAngels2014 12-07-2012 08:05 PM

i already have seen a few that a over board

zapvor 12-07-2012 08:10 PM

oh yea. check the one about the fuzz on the stringbed causing loss of topspin. its HILARIOUS

EastAngels2014 12-07-2012 08:26 PM

haha ok i will

EastAngels2014 12-08-2012 11:00 AM

so i hit today with Zo tour at 54lbs and it didnt have the touch that i am used to, i am going to give it some more time and see if breaking it in will help. Everything else was pretty good though.
