Help! Some Beginner Stringing Questions...
Hoping you can help me with some basic stringing questions. For reference, I have an Alpha Revo 4000 and am just stringing my own Dunlop 3.0 F Tours.

1. Last night I strung my Dunlop with Babolat Xcel 17 black in the mains at 58 and Tourna BHB7 in the crosses at 48. This morning when I practiced, my mains were moving around a lot. Why?

2. When I clamp a string and release the brake after I pull the tension, sometimes the clamp moves slightly backwards. Maybe a few millimeters. I this normal or am I doing something wrong? If I'm doing something wrong, how do I fix it? I assume I'm losing tension when this happens.

3. When I string the black Xcel 17, sometimes I can't get the crank to pull the tension. It sometimes doesn't lock out. I didn't have this problem when I strung with other strings. Why and how do I fix this?

Xcel is very stretchy and moves a lot after hitting. All sounds normal to me.

Agree, but I don't like a 10 difference in tension between the mains & crosses.
BTW, that's why the mains are moving so much. The crosses don't have enough tension to keep them in place.
On the machine, the Xcel is stretching & your machine is hitting it's travel limit. You need to either move the tension clamp closer to the frame when you pull or double pull.

One way to get the lockout to work is you is hand pull the string tight when putting it in the gripper.
