Currently play Wilson BLX Blade Team...but...
Hi, I currently play the Wilson BLX Blade Team.
I'm thinking about going to the Wilson BLX Tour Lite for 2 reasons: 1. Unless I choke up on the Team, I don't get enough topspin. 2. In turn, a lot of my shots seems to go a few feet beyond the baseline unless I "take something off of" my winshield washer forehand. I don't want to do that. Is this a good move on my part to try the Tour Lite or I was even thinking about the Babolat Pure Drive Roddick Junior 26 (Even). I should mention, I'm a wheelchair player, but I have good upper body strength, so all my shots are one handed. I appreciate some thoughts.... thanks... |
Have you tried experimenting with different string tensions?
I guess the best is to demo a few racquets. There are a couple of posts about the various Blade variants on the site, but none that address your question directly. I'm thinking of getting a Blade myself sometime next year. |
the problem you maybe having is that the length of the racquet is longer. I know that shouldn't really be an issue and to most it probably isn't but it does affect how it is swung. just try a normal racquet size and see if it doesn't change.

Yeah...I thought the Team was 27.25", but its 27.50".
So, the lite being 26.75" should help that... I just worry about the stiffness being so high giving me arm problems. |
