penn championchip

Is it true that the penn championchip's are americas #1 selling tennis balls?

mikeler 12-25-2012 01:02 PM

Maybe, it is also true that those balls are total garbage.

Chotobaka 12-25-2012 01:48 PM

Yeah, but if they are chocolate champion-chip they have an important redeeming quality. Agreed that they are not good for tennis. :-)

I'd love to know what happened to their extra-duty felt balls because they weren't always this bad. (They weren't always great either though). Can't play 3 full sets of doubles (2 hours-or so on an outdoor hard court) without at least 1 ball's name & number being totally unrecognizable. Yes, we're all hard hitters, but still.

They're cheap and they're everywhere. Got a giant case of them sitting in the closet thanks to Costco.

Yes, I play outdoors with Penn championship's extra duty felt-they last me, there quality does vary a little.

mikeler 12-26-2012 06:11 AM

I've rarely had matches where I broke a tennis ball but everytime it happened they were Penn Championships.

I have not played tourney matches with them , practice yes, flex league yes.
