Feet swell up too much during a match. Feet and knees start to hurt by the 2nd set.

I know for some long distance running they recommend people wear 1/2 to 1 full size bigger because their feet swell up. I'm wondering if this is a big cause of my feet and knee pain. I wear the correct size shoe for walking around (I have about 1 thumb of free space) but I'm wondering if I should up even more, 1/2 size.

Actually long distance runner shoes are quite different than any other tennis shoes, the run is mostly straight without having to cut side to side-quickly, the soles compress and decompress quite fast and the material on the top of the shoe expands and contracts, they are quite expensive and quite light and form fit to your feet, supernatural materials, the cost is about ~ $150 per pair less then that the shoe company is partially sponsoring the runners.new companies or reemerging ones do this to break into the market..:)

As too foot and knee, I was playing in a tourney and had the same problem, feet hurt and knees, my shoe size was 1/2 larger, I found it was the socks were too thick changed to thinner ones and aches gone.
