Gosen OG Micro Black

Anybody that has used this string, does the black color of the strings rub off and leave marks on the ball? This is a minor detail but I'm just curious before I buy.

Yes, it is a white/clear string with black coating. This wears off and it leaves marks all over the balls.

That's what I would have guessed. Are there any black synthetic guts, that cost as low as the OG Micro, that don't leave black marks?

Pretty much all synthetics and multis that are coloured chips off or fades. And probably some polys aswell

I have strung many racquets with Pro Supex Synthetic Gut Spiral Flex and it comes in black. This string is a copy of Prince's Synthetic Gut Duraflex and is about $45.00 a reel. It does have a gold spiral that runs through the string but the string is black all the way through and does not rub off.

^ I second the Spiral Flex. It won't rub off or mark up the balls, and is a great value at $3/set. I only wish it was available in 17 gauge as well.

i actually like making marks all over the ball.

the opponents are always looking at the ball for awhile b4 they serve saying

"whats happening here?"

^ It's like serving 'em up hot off the grill! ;)
