Shock wave therapy
 

Have had tennis elbow, lateral epicondial, for eight months. I am going to try ESWP, electrocorporal sound wave therapy. Has anyone tried this, and what was the outcome? Any sideeffects?

I had professional grade ultrasound performed when I had golfer's elbow. It works great but is not an overnight fix. Probably did 10-12 sessions of it before I was ready to play tennis again.

I think the shock wave therapy is different than the ultrasound treatments, which I have had. From one doctor who had the shock wave therapy done, he said it was like literally a jackhammer type of procedure done, but cured him in one treatment. I think I would try that before having a blood plasma
injection, which is another more radical treatment. Good luck!

I also have a home ultrasound unit that gets quite a bit of use.
