dunlop biomimetic 200 tour string settings

hey all
just got a dunlop biomimetic 200 tour.

great for serving. i found it had good power. although compared to previous racquet i was hitting the balls a bit long too often. (it felt very springy off the springs).

What springs/tension would guys who use this racquet recommend?

keep in mind i used the strings that came with the racquet. (bought new so whatever the dunlops come with)

ive got 2 of them so thinking of setting them up differently to work out what i like.

and also a question anyone using natural gut in the 200 tour? opinions? what tension have you tried???

thanks for any help!!!!!!

I don't use the 200 tour but my Dunlops are weighted similarly and have a 16 x 19 pattern.

What I think you need is more spin, try a full bed of soft poly (I'd reccommend Weisscannon Turbo twist 1.25mm at 50-54lbs or Polystar Enegry 1.25mm at 52-56lbs).

As for natural gut, I love Pacific Classic 1.30mm with smooth 1.25mm poly crosses (Weisscannon Scorpion is my preference) strung at 50-54lbs mains with crosses 3 or 4lbs lower.

Great spin, power and feel and if kept dry with a few string savers in worn areas, excellent durability.

For a full bed of 1.30mm Nat gut I'd up the tension to 58-68lbs, depending on climate.

I agree that getting sufficient topspin is essential with this stick because it packs such a big punch. I'm very happy with full poly at very low tensions (high 30s, 16-18kg) in my 200 Tours which generates very easy spin as long as you use full modern strokes with proper form (SW grip, I use a w-w finish). I find Tourna BHBR16 very spinny, but also like SPPP Hex.

I'm back to my 4d 200 Tour, and just grabbed a 2nd one of ****.
I have Lux ALU pwr/Ice full bed at 52 pounds.

Great control and spin, but wanting a more explosive string experience off the serve. Will probably hybrid nat gut in the mains or crosses, and keep the ALU in there (or go back to MSV co-focus for the crosses).

I may drop tension into the mid 40s as well.

I don't know why I ever left the 200 Tour. Nothing helps me focus more on relaxation and fluidity.
