Niculescu is FUN to watch
 

Watching the Azarenka / Niculescu match, and I gotta say it's REALLY enjoyable to watch a different style of tennis.

I love watching Monica mix it up. No topspin ball bashing. Kinda feels like anything is possible.

Is that Judo Beaver or Ju-Jit-Suka?

She needs to get together with either Tomic or Dolgopolov for mixed doubles ASAP!

it was fun to see a completely different shot. I don't think very many people will try to copy this forehand though.

Agreed. I love how she hits a typical flat backhand and uses her slice forehand to set it up. It's like a reverse Graf.

Whether they are "trying to copy" Moni or not, you see this forehand every day at my club!

Are there any other pros who use a slice as their default forehand? I can't think of any....

if her ginsu forehand is for real in a competitive match...it appeared to me in a match against stosur it never was a weapon but either drew stosur in for MoNic to pass her or it would buy her time to get back into a midcourt position.

its interesting and sometimes appeared effective.
