Tennis shoes: Comfort and ankle protection
Hi! i have flat and medium width feet. i am looking for a comfortable shoe that also protects the ankles. I have been using Yonex 308 and when I play with them I do not experience ankle pain. But, when I use the Asics Solutions I experience a bit of discomfort in my left ankle, especially if I play aggresively.
So, are theres any suggestions in terms of a comfortable shoe that also protects the ankles? (I tried Nike Vapor Tours but I returned them as they felt too loose in the back of my ankles) Thanks |
Do you know why you have ankle pain? Proper tennis shoes shouldn't give you any ankle pain. Maybe it's footwork or the court surface? I also have flat medium width feet and never encountered any ankle pain with any of my shoes--I currently wear Adidas Team2 Barricades.

I have flat wide feet. I think we chatted about this briefly. I liked the NB 1187s until I started bruising my toes a bit. Provided good comfort and ankle stability. And NBs, as you know, allow you to choose desired widths. Also those Babs SFXs are dope, but not optimal in the ankle support department.

I would guess that the Asics Resolution is the best bet.
