Pick Up tennis in New Orleans?

Does such a place exist anymore? I left after Katrina, but am going to Mardi Gras this year and might have time to hit some.

I used to play on the Tulane courts. Is there anywhere else that people go to play?

Thanks!

Both City Park (Lakeview) and Adubon are running and have been. City Park has Hard and Clay - Audubon still all Clay....and also one of the greatest places to play in the South!

I played there, and it was awesome! Me and a couple friends took a road trip there this past Summer.

I've heard good things about UNO's courts as well. My problem is that I have no one to play with. Is there a lot of pick up games at these places you mention?

The Hilton Hotel (on the river) always had a decent tennis program, though you'll have to spend some money. When I attended a meeting there some decades ago, Vic Seixas was the head pro. I imagine he's long gone but it gives you an idea how serious they were about tennis, and I'm told it's still a good place to seek to be matched up.

I'm a hilton member. Hit me up next time you're in town.
