Microtear in a tendon in foot

Been almost four months now, it is attached to the bone naviculare, on the inside of the foot, nothing helps, and i have not pushed it, or played tennis since. :(

Know what you mean.
I tore something in '08, have not been able to run since.
Some E docs say I tore some tendons.
Some gymnastics coaches say the same.
So I can't run. Makes me a strong 3.5 singles player.

I too know those pains.

My latest doctor thinks I have a staff infection, due to the redness on my foot around the tendons, but over 20 years of this recurring injury tell me better.

Morten, why don't you just play tennis?
It won't hurt anything, and you only go down a level or so.
I've been windsurfing, playing tennis, snowboarding, and surfing on it, besides some construction work and gardening, so it's no biggie.
I can't come close to walking downhill since '08, or run. So what? So I'm a top level 3.5 singles player instead of a run of the mill 4.0. No biggie.

i might just do that LeeD, i will see a ankle expert tomorrow and if he does not say anything of interest i think i will... how long could it take for a tendon to repair? i have heard it takes a long time...

Dude!
It's been FOUR years since I've sprained/torn my left ankle, and I still cannot run. So at least 4 years, if you don't tear it again.
Not everything heals without surgery. Surgery to pin the tendon back onto the bone.
So you cannot run! What's the big deal? You only drop a level in singles tennis, and in doubles, it barely makes a difference.
So you can't be a track star, or run marathons. No biggie. You can still ride a bicycle and go to work, play some tennis, and enjoy your life.

Is this the attachment of the posterior tibial muscle tendon on the underside of the navicular? If so, this is a very serious injury. You're smart not to have played tennis! Have you seen a foot specialist? Do so!

It is corners, well i will try shockwave treatment tomorrow...

LeeD 01-23-2013 01:51 PM

Are you running?
If so, you can play tennis.
I cannot run at all, as control of the foot is lacking with mis steps, causing an awkward landing and pain in the top of the foot, lower front ankle.

I do not run now,, bit i loved Running
