Do you get to keep them or does the club determine what happens to them?

Kal-El 34 01-24-2013 12:31 PM

You are a lucky son of a gun, those are beautiful! Between this and your post of $10 findings at a garage sale years ago, I could just about hate you haha jk

vsbabolat 01-25-2013 01:21 AM

Hey Kal-El, that Elite Pro was made in Austria and the Prestige Pro you have was Made in USA.

a couple pretty amazing scores.. i work in a pretty wealthy area of the country now so the likelihood of nice classics popping up is pretty good here i think

Kal-El 34 01-25-2013 10:58 AM

the current collection of old heads

ctromano 01-25-2013 09:57 PM

Nice

I got a bunch of HEAD graphite pro's (black ones and teal ones) & graphite composite pro's, I even have old head masters too, all I want is 1 babolat pure drive cortex roddick plus 4 1/2 grip size, the 1st time cortex came out. If you got one, i'll trade it for a bunch of old head frames. let me know

Missing from the Family

My Elektra Pro is looking for a new family, and I'm looking to adapt a Pro Cynetic ;);)

SELFMADESOUL 01-26-2013 07:59 AM

Just had to say, WOW!!! I love all those old HEAD frames- the Racquet God definitely smiled upon you that day!!

Good stuff there... your client has (had?) excellent taste in tennis equipment.

If you don't love the feel of that Elite Pro, there's something wrong with you.

Very excited to try it.. Debating capping it if it can be capped. Got some head leathers to put on them. Not sure though because the original grommets are near mint

I've used this racquet a lot since 1988. I don't like the weight and feel with the full CAP; I'd recommend using the original grommet set if it's servicable, and then later, when it isn't, trimming down a MG Prestige Mid CAP to the same size as the original white Elite Pro item. The frame is molded so that it's really designed to fit a partial CAP - you'll notice a notch-out for it if you look carefully. :!:

Enjoy it; it's a superlative frame, incorporating the feel of the PT630, the solidity and precision of the original Prestige Pro, but with increased manoeuverability (with a partial CAP, that is). Why HEAD has refused to make anything approaching this (or maybe even surpassing this) performance in a midsize package in the ensuing 25 years is a huge mystery. Or, perhaps, a triumph of marketing over engineering. :|

thanks for the advice.. i am going to clean them up and string / hit with them...

i had a txp professional i let go for way too cheap to help a collection... i may send these to a good home at some point at all.. i have enough donnays right now my wife doesnt want the old heads laying around the house too haha...

keep the rackets or keep the wife... a tough choice here :)
