Donald Young to Lotto

Looks like Nike dropped him once & for all. I wonder why Lotto signed him? The only reason I can think of is to target the African-American crowd as he's still as a popular figure for them (including me.)

He needs to win the Lotto.

I'm sure it's just a sponsorship (providing clothes and accessories) and not an endorsement where they're paying him (unless he has some "big" result and gets a bonus).

But, would DY sporting Lotto really impact sales among African-American tennis players in any sort of significant way? I guess it can't hurt to find out.

It doesnt surprise me, where is he in the rankings now? He must be outside of the top 150?

Yeah we really don't know terms of sponsorship. I mean it could be routine offer to those around top 100-150 ATP level. If you were going to throw a lot of money at an African American tennis player in hopes of influencing people, I would throw it at Sloane Stevens.

@goober. She the only real one in the last 9 years. All the Jamere Jenkins, Phillip Simmonds & Donalds haven't been leaving up to the hype
