New Racquets?
 

So whenever I get a new racquet, (only the ones that are fersure sticking with me, such as a playing stick) I always tend to get a small pin and just carve out a small scratch in the inner hoop just so any future dings or marks don't make me feel as bad. As the saying goes, "The first mark is always the worst."

I'm curious do any of you guys do such things? In my mind I just hate it when I'm playing and suddenly I hear a THWACK and realize I just scraped my racquet against the court.

After a week of hitting, that new racquet feeling goes away, and then I could care less about scratching up the PJ.

Seems kind of dumb to me. Using your logic, you should go put a scratch in a new car, just so the 1st door ding doesn't bother you. It's just one more scratch I'd have to tell about when I sold the racket too.
