Thinnest overgrip
What would be a real thin replacement grip? I like everthing except for tacky grips... thanks for any input!
|
OK I got it totally wrong... I mean "overgrip" and not replacement... how do you edit the headline?

Any overgrip can be the thinnest overgrip if you wrap it tight enough. Though tournagrip is probably the thinnest and it isn't tacky.

Thanks to the Super Mod for the quick tweak!
As far as the Tournagrip goes, that's what I've played with for a number of years and it's indeed thin and not at all tacky. What would be my other choices if I want to move on? I've nailed it down to the Wilson Pro Sensation and Babolat VS Original... those might be a tad on the tacky side, though. What else? |
EDIT: Nevermind. The following is "Ultra Tacky"
Haven't used it but another option is the Gamma Grip 2 http://www.tennis-warehouse.com/descpage-GG2.html |
I think I'll give the Pro Sensation a try. Why not, I've been playing with Wilson frames forever (currently BLX Six One 95 16x18 - awesome), I bet it's a good match.
Tournagrips are excellent overgips though, there's not a real need to change for me, just a whim... |
In my opinion Wilson pro overgrip is pretty thin when you stretch it a little bit, but don't stretch it too much.

Yeah, the Wilson Pro Sensation overgrip should be the thinnest

Babolat VS grip at .44mm

From personal experience - two overgrips compete for title "thinnest" and tacky - Head XtremeSoft and Volk V-tac.
As mentioned in the previos posts, the overgrips are subject to additional thinning by tension, aplied while wrapping. Pacific X-Tac is also susceptible to this manipulation ... exceptional feel ! Matter of choice... |
Wilson Sensation and Babolat VS.
|
Babolat VS is the thinnest I've tried.
