Poly/syn gut hybrid - which ones main/crosses?

Thinking of doing a hybrid of luxilon big banger and gamma syn gut to prolong the life of my reel.

What would u recommend for the mains, does it actually make a difference?

Lux in the mains, syngut in the crosses. If you do the other way the Lux in the crosses will saw through the syngut mains and snap them pretty quick.

Put the one in the mains that you want to feel the most. I'm thinking you'll want to use the Luxilon in the mains. It will also be much more durable this way.

I just strung lux alu power in the mains with sensation crosses at 52/56 and going to hit with it tomorrow.

I've tried Lux Fluro in your hybrid (gut in crosses) and while it was ok, I went back to gut all around.

Looking forward to try Serena's new Lux, 4G or - presumably it maintains tension better

Yes, I tried this. While it plays great, it doesn't last long...
