Racket For My Game

Hi

I play an all court game with flat power, looping topspin and slices and short angel shoots. Very versvitale and a lot of variation.

I boom my first serve or kick it, slice it and I notice that everyone i play against have problems with my spin.

Iīm 42 yeras old and have pretty good foot work all though Iīve got too much soft "mucles".

Last year I have played a leaded prince hybrid 03 citrus (105sq/in and 308 gram strung leaded ) "easy" to get power and trampoline free speed.

I have noticed lately that my good techniqe has gone bad and I am lazy and just rip the ball since I can get away with it with this racket.

Last training I played my Prince response precision TI 12.3 oz and my technique was back. I just took full swings on almost everything and blew my opponent of court. This frame is 13 year old and a bit dead though.

Iīm thinking about getting me a players stick like a Volkl Power Bridge 10 Mid or a Wilson K Factor KSix-One 95 (16x18) or a POG 107 or a Volkl Organix 8 (315g).

Which type of racket do you think will suite my game best?

I play mostely singles but also dubbles 2 hours a week.

I canīt demo the frames that is why I call upon you expertise...

See what you mean thanks, it should really work for me:-)

Played 2 hours of doubles tonight with my response TI and it was great.
I just swing full and play with the technic I learned as young ( played competitive from age 11-18 ) and the ball just goes where I put it, well not all shots but I didnīt miss much tonight.

More power on all shots thanks to the weight and more control on all shots.
Serving was much easier aswell and my second serve kicker was still spinning good compered to the "easy" to use trampoline citrus frame.

The C10 got a bit thinner frame, 20mm, The TI got 23mm.
But the C got 98 inch head and the TI 97 (well not a HUGE difference here but anyway).

A bit more flex in the frame on the C but thatīs something I like.

Thanks for this Lilguy, this is a serious contender:-)

C10 has all the pluses of the PB10mid, but with a bit more pop. It's ideal. The only reason I don't currently use it is because I couldn't reign the power in enough, but that's just user error cuz I'm not that good lol.

Did you try different tensions and strings?

Seems like you really liked the frame and you can do quite a lot with different set ups...you know.

Had to string the poly up a bit tighter, which I didn't like the feel of. But when I was hitting WELL with it, it was close to perfect. Just couldn't dial in the consistency.

I will do that, thanks.

Never played a Yonex but there are quite a few pros, both women, men, using it.

Whatīs up with the head shape though? The Volkl frame is a bit "out there" to but the Yonex looks a bit scary...?

Ok I see.

I donīt get the thing about poly strings, maybe Iīm too old:-)
Still love synthetic gut, think the polyīs just dead and hard.

I understand the pros use it cuse the strings donīt go that often and they sure got power enough, but to me itīs just dead hard plastic...
