Recommendation for soft, low to mid power stick?

I'm looking to switch from my K Tours that I am currently playing with, I know it's not too stiff of a stick but I can't shake some elbow pain even with tension in the low 50's. Ideally I'd like something in the 98/100 head size to keep some of the power that I'll be losing by going to a softer frame. Thanks for any ideas folks.

PK Redondo MP.

Both look really good, but @slowfox the PK Redondo is a bit too heavy for my liking, I still may give it a demo though.

It hits lighter than it's spec and is really a very confortable racquet that can create a good amount of spin too.

For elbow friendly - nothing better than a Kennex racket. Q5 may fit your spec.

Awesome, I'll be sure and give it a try.

Even with a stiffness of 67?

The PK Black Ace is lighter.

To the OP, the Tour 100 is very low powered, definitely not mid powered.

anubis 02-18-2013 09:48 AM

Any radical.

How does the 98 compare? I'm a pretty big guy, not tall but strength wise and am pretty good at generating my own power so I can always compensate by stringing lower if the frame itself is low powered, I'm mainly concerned with comfort at this point. I don't hit with too much spin either so if the power is a bit on the lower side it's only going to help me keep the ball deep but not out.

I wanna recommend you to try Tour versions rather than Rebel 98 if you can generate your own power and look for more comfortable rackets;18x20 for more control and 16x18 for more spin.
Tour is a very arm-friendly racket and its feel is so different compared to other rackets. You must demo first before buying it.

Demo the ProKennex Q Tour. Sounds like just what you are looking for.

Relinquis 02-18-2013 02:09 PM

strings might be a factor as well.. natural gut might be an option, or multi if you're not a string breaker.

TroutSc 02-18-2013 02:09 PM

i have a pk ki q5 (295), dunlop bio500 tour, and a bab pure storm gt on the way for demos, some of those may fit the bill. I was looking for similar characteristics.
