Replacement for Prince T9 Roadsters?

Though not the most stylish shoes (at least the gray/blue/white ones that I had), I've gone through about 10 consecutive pairs of Prince T9 Roadsters after discoverying them a couple of years ago. Great durability, comfortable, secure, good performance, wide, but not not too wide, and perpetually on sale on TW for $49.99.

But, seems like they are finally gone:( and I have to find something else. I thought that most Prince shoes would be similar in terms of fit and width, but reading the comments for other models, it seems like this isn't necessarily so.

Any suggestions for moving to a new shoe. Doesn't have to be Prince, and doesn't have to be as cheap as the T9s (though I'd still like the shoes to be $75, $80 or under).

T9 was built on Prince's wide-forefoot "NFS" last. Try the Prince Viper series shoes, as they offer similar fit.

Prince T-22

I got the T14s, which were on closeout for $39.99. I read mixed reviews. I'll try them on in my home and if they don't feel right, I'll send them back and try T22s (or a non prince shoe). The T9s were great and I found them completely by accident.

Of course I want to keep costs down, but I'm really not simply chasing the cheapest shoe, I am willing to pay significantly more, but the T9s were $49.99 and, for me at least, performed just as well as much more expensive shoes. So, I thought I'd give the T14s a try at least. Too bad all I can really do is walk around in my house with them to try to evaluate fit.

I always end up finding a shoe and then getting 8-12 pairs in a row before they end up going away. I had 8 pairs of Adidas A3 Prevails before the T9s. I loved that shoe, much better for me than Barricades.

I sent the T14s back. Nice price, but just walking around the house I could tell that they were sort of flimsy and just weren't going to work for me.

Was recently in Arizona and got to try on T22s at a PGA Superstore (they have a nice tennis section) and they were great. Surprisingly, a size 10 was the best fit. I always wore 10.5 with the T9 Roadsters. Anyway, I ordered a pair of T22s from TW, and have now played in them and am very happy. Great shoe for me.

I liked the T-9's too. I still have an unused pair put away. I bit the bullet on a pair of T-14's and I felt the same way just trying them on. I thought that $40 that I would give them a shot anyway. Thy feel kind of strange in that the space between the laces is very far apart. The first time on the court they still felt strange but not bad. The second time out they started feeling really good. I especially liked the cushioning that they provided. While they do not fit me quite as well as the roadsters, they fit well enough that I am happy. I have been plantar fasciitis free for over 6 months now and I think the added padding will help keep me that way.
