[1] Novak Djokovic vs [3] Rafael Nadal MC FINAL

Sorry Fabio :-|

This will definitely go to 3 I think. Djokovic with a quick start, 6-3, and Nadal scrapes his way back in a v. tight second set, finds his form in the third and beats a slightly depleted Djokovic in the 3rd. Both call MTO's.

Starts at 2PM Monte Carlo time. Meant to rain.

Anklovic against the clay beast?

This will be a beatdown, Nadal wins 6-2, 6-1

Clarky21 04-20-2013 05:53 AM

Doesn't warrant a match thread. Easy win for ****.

zagor 04-20-2013 05:54 AM

Premature thread, you never know, Novak might just play an uninspired, flat, subpeak match out of nowhere and before you know it it's Rafa-Fabio final.

-RF- 04-20-2013 05:55 AM

Foginni? Hahahaha

sbengte 04-20-2013 05:56 AM

I wouldn't underestimate Fog, so the match thread is premature.

If Novak does win his SF, it will be a battle of PI vs CI. (Perennially Injured vs Currently Injured ). How exciting.

He (OP) is just trying to jinx Novak, he's a scared Nadal fanboy.

If it goes to form then you have to fancy Rafa in two as Djokovic has only won one of their last seven sets on clay and that was only when the weather turned. On a sunny day with no elements to affect it then you have to say straights. Maybe 7-5 6-4, something like that.

Nadal was playing better last year than he is this year. The mess he just made of the second set against Tsonga should tell you how a match vs **** will turn out.

No seriously. This match thread is obviously premature even if Djokovic smokes Fognini. Their last match was a 3 setter on a HC, and this is clay which would favour Fognini more. Not to mention other factors like Djokovic's fitness, and the forms of Fognini and Djokovic respectively.

Sure? Almost had a colossal choke playing Tsonga

-RF- 04-20-2013 06:18 AM

I naturally like Djokovic, I want him to do well, he's Federers only chace of keeping Nadal to below 15

Rafa was just toying with him, he let Jo get back from 5-1 because he suddenly decided to practice his mental strength in a tiebreak.

Please, Nadal surpassing Fed's slam count is your wet dream.

That's exactly what happened. Well observed.

romeo8880 04-20-2013 06:25 AM

Nadal hasn't lost at this tournament in like 11 years. Djokovic stands no chance on clay.

Your kid brother* is winning zilch. If he ever makes it to the final one one leg, he won't be able to take more than 5 games off Nadal.
